I thought I was steering you toward a great deal on that Philips, but I see that only refurbs are near your price range. Just be careful that you get one that accepts 1080i input, and make sure that the black and dark detail is acceptable to you. LCDs with poor dark detail wear out their welcome quickly. yeah, sorry about that. Whatever you do, make sure that the one you buy supports at least 1080i input, otherwise you will be out of luck when it comes to displaying most broadcast/cable/satellite HD. 1080i off a Blu Ray player or HD DVD will also make for a nicer image than letting the player natively output 720p. My advice at this price and screen size: see if you can find a Philips 32PF5321 and give it some serious consideration. Good luck with your decision. I realize that space and budget are your primary concerns at this time.
