We Are Upgrading Our Server!

With our continued success and growth we are happy to say we are undergoing yet another server upgrade! The traffic we have been getting recently has been overwhelming our VPS and its got to a point we cant even access our basic needs such as webmail or cpanel.

But do not worry, after special arrangements with our super hosts micfo, we have come to an agreement on a brand new spanking server (specs to be announced soon) where we will pay a very cheap yet competitive price…i’ll let you figure out the sum involved yourself.

It is very important that you choose a good web host - NOTE: Good doesn’t mean expensive - Good means reliable with great support. If the host you choose doesn’t have those two qualities, it’s going to make your life miserable.

You are going to be really frustrated because your site is never up and your emails are never answered (again a very annoying thing to experience especially if you run a service).

If you need a good host we highly recommend Micfo as hosts, they have never let us down and are sure better than our previous hosts who we refuse to name or even link to as someone might sign up under them and suffer the same fate as us lot did.

What To Look For In a Host:

Support - Your site will go down at times even though your most likely promised 99% uptime so you need support, preferrably via phone or live chat online.

Got What You Need - By this I mean the host offers a package that suits you. Not everyone needs a dedicated server straigh away. People new to the web are more than satisfied with a cheap shared package.

No database limits - Chances are once you create one website you will create another, then another and so on, having a limit on amount of database’s will be very annoying so choose a package that offers unlimited amount or alot (i.e 5x more than necessary)

Do Your Research! - Never and I repeat NEVER buy from a web host without doing a heck of a lot of what we like to call “googling”! Chances are you find people will have had problems with a host or find that they are scammers in which case you do not want to fork over your cash. Check out forums such as digital point and other webmaster forums/sites for people recommendations or reviews. From personal experience, trust me on this one!

Now there are lots and lots of more advice around the net on how to find the right host and we cant cover them all so make sure to search around. Remember, Google is your best friend (ok yahoo, we love you too!).
