Stalker remotely controls family cellphones, even when they’re off!

For four months, the Kuykendalls, the Prices and the McKays say, they’ve been harassed and threatened by mysterious cell phone stalkers who track their every move and occasionally lurk by their homes late at night, screaming and banging on walls.
Police can’t seem to stop them. The late-night visitors vanish before officers arrive. The families say investigators have a hard time believing the stalkers can control cell phones without touching them and suspect an elaborate hoax. Complaints to their phone companies do no good – the families say they’ve been told what the stalkers are doing is impossible.
In one case, the stalker changed the ringtone of a phone to say “answer your phone.”

Thats creepy.
The moment something like that starts happening to me I am chucking my cellphone. They aren’t worth that kind of trauma. Although if it is a hoax, kudos to them for fooling the police.
If I could get my hands on the technology used:
A) I would blog about it here
B) I would use it against some few people
Yeah very creepy but also very interesting in terms of the technology used by pulling off such a feat, but I wonder, why do freaks or people who abuse cool technology get their hands on everything before we (True Fans) do??
