Sony Looses Exclusive Rights

Did we all not think Sony is a huge ass company with lots of money to develop games and win exclusive rights left right and center? Sony has had the opportunity to keep many games that have slipped as exclusives. Whether it was communicating with developers or supplying development kits, major titles slipped into multiplatform grounds.

Below is a list of some games that Sony could have kept as exclusives for their shit Playstation 3 Console:

- Assassin’s Creed (According to Newsweek, Sony played the waiting game and lost because Microsoft jumped in and offered generous terms for Assassins Creed to be multiplatform)
- Bladestorm: Hundred Years War
- Devil May Cry 4 (Capcom states they want to share the love on all systems… but games like Dead Rising clearly show they are willing to do exclusives)
- Dynasty Warriors 6
- Fatal Inertia
- Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (Publisher EA made the choice to move the game to multiplatform)
- The Wall (Little is known about the title but in a recent interview Play Ten revealed that The Wall will now be coming to the Xbox 360)
- Unreal Tournament 3 (Once only announced as a PS3 and PC title, Epic switched and now has Xbox 360 as a listed platform for 08)
- Virtua Tennis 3
- Virtua Fighter 5

But wait it doesnt stop there. Sony has also managed to loose out on a few games that could have been co-released with their Average great console.

“The following list are major titles that could have been co-releases if Sony would have pushed out their development kits sooner and perhaps ponied up some money. However since they didn’t, these are all titles Microsoft has gladly taken in as timed exclusives on the Xbox 360.”

- Bioshock (We’ve been hearing that Bioshock may be hitting the PS3 this next spring)
- Medal of Honor Airborne (Out now on Xbox 360 but pushed back till November for PS3)
- The Elder Scrolls Oblivion (PS3 version a year later)
- F.E.A.R. (Delayed on PS3)
- Stranglehold (Delayed on PS3)
- Two Worlds (Two Worlds The Temptation is due out sometime next year, Top Ware is currently working on a concept piece for SCEA to approve)
- GRAW 2
- Rainbow Six Vegas
- Monster Madness: The EX
- Dirt
- Fight Night Round 3
