The on the pitch play is much better as is the online play. Pro Evo used to dominate Fifa by providing the most realistic soccer simulation, making Fifa look like a mix between arcade and crappy sim. However, the EA Sports Fifa team thankfully listened to their fans. Fifa 07 was close, but Fifa 08 is by far the best soccer/football game available. I'm actually relieved as EA had locked up the licensing for all the major teams, and it would stink if the game was no good.
