Halo for Nintendo DS ?? - Rumour turning into reality?!
June 17, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed

One thing is sure, nintendo and microsoft are considered rivals in the gaming/console world so automatically any co-production between the brands would be put down as complete crap or a simple lie. Now, what if I told you theres plans for a “Halo” Game on nintendo’s handheld (DS) ? …Never is what I thought but IGN seems to sure as hell that its going to be released with more information being given next week!
As GameStooge points out, in a recent IGN podcast (06-15-07), editor Matt Casamassina once again brought up the subject of Halo DS. It’s just a very quick comment, but right around the 38:00 mark of the podcast, Casamassina says that Halo DS is:
A real game⦠It was a Halo on DS! And it never made it to the light of day, for whatever reason. That reason was most likely Microsoft or Nintendo…
But a lot of people just don’t believe that. We’re gonna lay down some ownage next week or soon afterward by showing you guys that that is a real game. You guys are about to be owned - all you nay-sayers.
Some may have thought that IGN being able to play a build/demo of the game was just a hoax. Now, maybe we can actually confirm that.
Well I guess we will just have to hold on unto next week!

wen a monkey comes out my ass thats then is when halo ds will b released.
It would be intersting to see how it looks and plays. I don’t doubt that it exists… games like MP Hunters and even (although quite bad) Rogue Agent, show that the DS can handle a FPS. Expect a lower poly count and that’s it really.
If its gameplay is even close to that of the xbox/xbox 360, then id expect it to be a hit. I would certainly buy it for my nintendo ds (for those long trips around the country)
I saw somewhere that it might involve a more strategic approach, mixing traditional Halo play with some type of Advance Wars-esque gameplay to link smaller areas together. I’m not sure that I would rather see a straight-ish port than a redesigned game.
There’s certainly a shortage of good FPS games oon the DS right now. Though the homebrew version DSQuake is good fun.
Yeah, DSQuake is quite fun. End of day well just have to wait and see about the halo on DS thing.
