September 10, 2008 by Abdalla Ahmed
If you own a symbian handset, (thats usually the latest nokia cell phones) you can put TomTom onto your phone.
What is TomTom?
TomTom is one of the leading brands in the GPS industry. Its basically a GPS receiver/software that allows you to navigate almost freely to where ever you need to go. Remember the good old days of looking for street names or post/zip codes? The TomTom does it all for you in a matter of seconds.
Now, you can read a good review about one of the TomTom GPS receivers by clicking here to get a good idea of what it is. But in this post where going to talk about how we can get TomTom onto our phone.
The TomTom software can be put unto most symbian phones quite easily but it costs. Luckily enough theres a few guys that work around the money barrier so that we may enjoy it for free.
As long as your symbian handset has got bluetooth then your set to go. For those of you who have integrated GPS such as the Nokia N95 then you can also enjoy GPS navigation (courtesy of tomtom) on your phone.
