CES: GPS for dogs
January 14, 2008 by Abdalla Ahmed
The $200 Zoombak pet locator straps to your dog’s collar and will text and email you if you dog leaves a defined ’safe area’.
You get the real-time location of Mabel and can check up online. So if you have an escaplogist dog (or just want to track exactly where you partner goes when they walk the dog) this is probably for you. CNet has video.
The GPS unit is waterproof and will hook on to your pooch inside a secure little pouch. The battery will last for about five days on standby or for up to 150 on-demand location requests. It’s pretty lightweight too, so it won’t pull your dog’s head down, making it look thoroughly miserable. No-one likes looking at a depressed dog.

Perhaps this just the thing I need for my little brother
