Wii Phone - Rumour or True?
June 15, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · 3 Comments
The picture to the left looks very much like someones photoshop genuis being displayed and as you can see there isn’t any Mouth-Piece To talk through but then again, have we not seen a iPhone released by apple? Anything is possible, especially when a large company is involved with huge sums of cash behind their corporate butt!
Rumour for now but the future will tell us! - If it’s true, hope it sells better than the iPhone…agree? Comment below
T3 found this information via the patent office showing plans of a Wii remote looking device with gaming keys and what looks like a dialing keypad. I wonder what kind of damage someone could do with this? We’ll keep watching…

PS3 Firmware Upgrade 1.81 Out & Confirmed
June 15, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · 2 Comments

The dudes over at playstation.blog have informed us oupdate for the PS3, heres the quote:
Just a quick update: we’ll be making available firmware upgrade 1.81 which will fix a few small issues some of you have noticed. Most notably is the RGB Full setting which a few of you wrote in about. In 1.80 we added an option to the XMB under settings allowing you to choose between RGB Full and Limited. Basically if you are connecting your PS3 to your TV using an HDMI cable, and if your TV supports RGB full range, the picture quality may be improved when this option is set to Full. Some of you pointed out that the Full setting would sometimes revert back to Limited and 1.81 will address this issue. Please keep in mind that this setting is only effective when the PS3 is connected to a TV using an HDMI cable. You can download the update tomorrow from PlayStation.com or through your System Update option on the PS3 XMB.
We’re continually evaluating and improving PS2 software compatibility too. Where we can, we’ll look to share similar updates like this on our blog moving forward. Thanks for your ongoing feedback and support!

Xbox 360 GameSaves - Resign Saves
June 15, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · 22 Comments
360GameSaves have brilliantly put together a program allowing users to share gamesaves!
The GameSave Resigner is currently a webscript that will allow our users to insert their own unique ID’s into the save file so that save isn’t reported as corrupted to the console. The resigner is based off of one console’s own unique keys used in the resigning process. Each console has it’s own keypair that it uses..
…More at 360GameSaves Forums.
Help & Guideline:
You will need the ResignInfo program - Grab it HERE(sign up required)
- - - - - -
Tutorial (Courtesy of springysprocket Of 360GameSaves Forum:
Open it up and drag and drop your profile into where it says, then copy and paste that into the “edit profile information” section in “my controls” of 360gamesaves.com
Now your ready to resign your save.
Hit the browse button on the resigner page, and then select the save for resigning(the actual FILE not the folder it came in, and you have to UNZIP it with WinRar or a similar program)
When it asks you to open with or save, save it.
Go to your desktop and find your file (unless you specified that it be saved elsewhere) and rename it to the original file name
example:
from (username)697369764973.bin
we will use pacman as the file example
to nmGameSave1
IT IS CRUCIAL TO DELETE THE FILE EXTENSION “.BIN”
if your original save “say pdz” has an extension like .dat you keep that, but just delete the .bin
example: pdzsave.dat (correct)
pdzsave.dat.bin(incorrect)
now in explorer360 open up the destination folder of your save and copy the resigned save into the folder.
now your file may still appear to have the .BIN extension (ie nmGameSave1.bin)
DELETE THIS (.bin extension file)
and there you have it,your save is valid!
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
June 14, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · 1 Comment

We usually dont review games unless they are really worth it, COD4 is definately worth it!
Fans of Activision’s Call of Duty games might feel betrayed over Infinity Ward’s decision to thrust the series into modern-day times. However, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare features the most fantastic visuals the series has seen to date, making each firefight an intense, oftentimes excruciating affair. The combat continues to be razor sharp, with players moving quickly and gunning down enemy soldiers. Both the captivating, story-driven single-player mode and the jam-packed multiplayer action should hook players for weeks — even months — at a time.
Over the past few years, Call of Duty established itself as a memorable first-person shooting series, dragging players into the harrowing era of World War II. Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 3 further advanced the series on current-gen consoles, both with enhanced single-player campaigns and impressive multiplayer bouts. For the next release, however, developer Infinity Ward abandons World War II in favor of something more current as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare melds well-known gameplay with exciting new scenarios.
Throughout the single-player campaign, players overcome enormous obstacles to achieve the near-unreachable goal of peace. A powerful mercenary by the name of Zakiev has, attempted to pick up the pieces of Joseph Stalin’s Soviet Union tyranny. To ensure his health, a group of right-hand men known as the “Four Horsemen” and a large army are ready to back him up. Players fill the shoes of brave soldiers on a strike team, all committed to securing prosperity to the land and stopping Zakiev before he completes his realization.
While attendees at the recent Infinity Ward event in Los Angeles weren’t able to play the game, it appears to mimic the control scheme of previous Call of Duty games. Players move around, shooting whatever soldiers Zakiev put in place. Holding down the left trigger lets players look down the barrel of a gun for precision aiming, while the right trigger fires the weapon.

No new PSP…at least for now
June 14, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · Leave a Comment

Playstation finally has something to say about the rumours, which seem to only be a rumour- No new PSP….at least for now!
The rumor mill is flowing about new PSP hardware and a PSP phone, and I just wanted to take the time to clear the air. We haven’t announced anything about a new PSP, much less one that would have any phone capabilities. As SCEA’s resident PSP guru, I’m thrilled to hear that there’s so much interest in the platform, but sorry folks, these reports floating around fall into the rumors/speculation category.

PSP - The “Remake”
June 13, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · Leave a Comment

We have got word that indeed a new PSP is in the making, why do you ask? Honestly I have no distinct answers either but there are speculation all over the internet which can be found below.
Recent rumblings have started to fuel the hot topic regarding the next version of Sony’s PSP. A few days ago, Kotaku exclusively reported some details on a ‘PSP Slim’, which can be seen here:
http://kotaku.com/gaming/rumor/psp-slim-details-revealed-267108.php
Now, it’s been a few days after the report, and we still don’t have enough to confirm anything as fact. So… for the past weekend, I’ve been hesistant to post the following story until now.
Here’s the list:
* New slimmer PSP is indeed in the works. Hardware is essentially the same, and will NOT have any big speed increases.
* There’s no longer a UMD Tray, but a slot loader instead. Design is supposed to have a “cleaner” look, much like the DS Lite.
* The screen is the exact same size, and is sidekick-esque. This means that there’s some sort of a flip-factor, making the overall system even smaller.
* Pricing is currently the same, and a release date is more likely for Fall 07.
* The screen is still LCD, not LED. Either way, battery-life will obviously be improved.
* Sony is considering bluetooth capabilities.
* Underneath the screen is the home button, the brightness controls and the volume button. This revision will also include all-new controls for chapter skipping with UMD movies and music tracks.
* Not 8GB of on-board memory. 4GB is more likely. However, the storage capacity could change.
Not bad huh? Remember this is all speculation, time will tell soon enough, and when there are hacks/exploits available for these new units, well be the first to let you know the “know how”.
