a friend recommended me to get these, so I received a pair of SA6 for $210 through ebay, and when they arrived, i found that 1 of the earphones was damaged!!!! basically, it would rattle/vibrate, like when you use cheap $2 earphones and crank them all the way up.

contacted ebay seller, no reply
contacted sleek audio, then they said that no warranty if you bought it off ebay!!!! then they said they'll make me an exception. phew!
just be careful if you buy off ebay guys.

I tend to think the other way. A lot of people spend a thousand bucks on their speakers without ever hearing the detail a pair of IEM's can give. I put all my cash in an iPod, a good amp (Headamp AE-2) and a pair of Shure E500, which are even more expensive then the Sleeks. It's worth every cent. I bet you haven't even tried the Sleeks (I have and they're not bad) but are already prejudiced.

Yeah, this kind of prejudiced, ignorant thinking about audio is why Bose is still so popular. There are a lot of great headphone companies out there who make fantastic products for the money. There's even a $10-25 dollar headphone (the Koss KSC75) that I'll guarantee sounds lightyears better than those $5 ones you'll find in most places. And believe me, there IS a huge, notable difference between well-made headphones and most of the crap you find at Target and Best Buy.

I spent $110 on some of the big over the ear headphones (sometimes referred to as 'cans'). But they are studio monitor headphones designed for mixing music. Still, $300 for some earbuds sounds insane to me.
