$249.99 Headphones Anyone?

When we all think about buying a headset for our phones or our ipods we ideally think about cheap replacement headphones for immediate use.

What we dont think about is a $310 replacement pair of headphones! The Sleek SA6 are a set of very unique headphones which allow the user to change the outer part of the headphones to enhance your music/sound experience.

Sleek SA6 Headphones

Take a look at the picture at the right; the white plastic like ear pieces are interchangeable to allow you to change and optimize what you hear.

As Sleek-Audio put it themselves, you can “sit back and marvel at the music”.

“The SA6 is the first completely adjustable in-ear earphone system. Pick the bass you like and the treble you desire, sit back and marvel at the music. These hi-fi earphones are more than just a pair of in-ear headphones; these are the finishing touch on your amazing audio and video collection. Close your eyes and you will believe you are actually at the concert.”

So are you ready to spend 250 bucks and get a better “music experience” or are you like me and happy with the cheap $5 every day headset. Computer Shopper have put together a more in depth review of these rip off fantastic headphones – CLICK HERE if your interested in wasting spending $250.

I spent $110 on some of the big over the ear headphones (sometimes referred to as ‘cans’). But they are studio monitor headphones designed for mixing music. Still, $300 for some earbuds sounds insane to me.

Yeah, this kind of prejudiced, ignorant thinking about audio is why Bose is still so popular. There are a lot of great headphone companies out there who make fantastic products for the money. There’s even a $10-25 dollar headphone (the Koss KSC75) that I’ll guarantee sounds lightyears better than those $5 ones you’ll find in most places. And believe me, there IS a huge, notable difference between well-made headphones and most of the crap you find at Target and Best Buy.

I tend to think the other way. A lot of people spend a thousand bucks on their speakers without ever hearing the detail a pair of IEM’s can give. I put all my cash in an iPod, a good amp (Headamp AE-2) and a pair of Shure E500, which are even more expensive then the Sleeks. It’s worth every cent. I bet you haven’t even tried the Sleeks (I have and they’re not bad) but are already prejudiced.

a friend recommended me to get these, so I received a pair of SA6 for $210 through ebay, and when they arrived, i found that 1 of the earphones was damaged!!!! basically, it would rattle/vibrate, like when you use cheap $2 earphones and crank them all the way up.

contacted ebay seller, no reply
contacted sleek audio, then they said that no warranty if you bought it off ebay!!!! then they said they’ll make me an exception. phew!
just be careful if you buy off ebay guys.

You should NOT be spending $210 on a pair of headphones. $2 ones work just fine!!!
