iPhone 2.0.2 Security Problem
August 28, 2008 by Abdalla Ahmed · Leave a Comment
Yes you read (or heard - odiogo users) that right. If you are using JesusPhone to password protect your phone then using a simple trick/exploit will give you access (full) to your private information. These include mail, sms and contact details.
This little exploit is actually easier to implement than the one currently used to unlock (jailbreak) the iphone models which means any person could hack your handheld.
Fortunately this can be fixed easily by following the simple steps below:
Tutorial:
1) Password protect your phone before you do anything.
2) Slide to unlock and tap emergency call.
3) once you have tapped emergency call, double tao the HOME button.
This should be enough for now but its a simple resolvement to the problem so it may not be very effective. Apple are due to release an update for this soon so stay tuned.

Google Cutting Down on Food Perks…
August 26, 2008 by Abdalla Ahmed · Leave a Comment
A worker at Google tells us the company is taking evening meals off the menu
“Google has drastically cut back their budget on the culinary program. How is it affecting campus? No more dinner. No more tea trolley. No more snack attack in the afternoon.”
The changes will be announced to Googlers on Monday. Workers at the Googleplex will remain amply fed, with free breakfast and lunch — dinner will be reserved for geeks only — but it’s still a shocking cutback.
This is completely against what they said in 2004:
“We provide many unusual benefits for our employees, including meals free of charge … We are careful to consider the long term advantages to the company of these benefits. Expect us to add benefits rather than pare them down over time. We believe it is easy to be penny wise and pound foolish with respect to benefits that can save employees considerable time and improve their health and productivity.”

Samsung Omnia (i900) - Great Packaging!
August 20, 2008 by Abdalla Ahmed · Leave a Comment
The Samsung OMNIA is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and comes packed with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Even though the OMNIA is 100% touch screen, Samsung included an optical mouse for ease of navigation - the optical mouse is similar to what you’d find on laptops.
Also included on the OMNIA is a 5-megapixel CMOS camera with auto-focus (AF), face and smile detection and auto-panorama shot. OMNIA comes in 8 or 16GB memory configuration and additional storage can be added via extendable slot.
Of course, a smart phone called OMNIA can’t go without having a GPS, including navigation and geo-tagging capabilities, so you’d never get lost wherever you are. But enough about the Omnia, its all about its packaging. Man if my Nokia n95 came like the Omnia, I would have been in for a treat. It seems Samsung is re-inventing how phones should be presented to their new owners for the first time…dont know what I am talking about? Watch the video below: Read more
