61 Inch TV With A Nice Little Hot Tub Attached!

September 24, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · 2 Comments

There’s a story on some of the gadget sites to the effect that Catalina Spas is offering a 61-inch Theater Spa which, says Engadget, includes a 61 inch LCD HDTV that “automatically stores along the side wall of the spa and raises and lowers for viewing.”

Sounds good. But is the story sensible? Is it even true?

Well, if you are planning to watch TV in the tub, 61 inches is probably far too big for a built in screen. Something smaller would be fine. Catalina Spas also offers 22in and 17in versions.

Whether Catalina Spas actually offers a 61-inch LCD screen is also open to doubt. Its website only mentions the Omega 42 TV Spa, which has an “unbelievable” 42-inch plasma screen and seats five.

The ultimate source of the story could be the HGTV MarketPlace, which is offering the “61 inch Theater Spa” for sale. However, it doesn’t actually have any to sell: it just links to the Catalin Spa enquiries page.

So did a 42in plasma screen in a five-seat whirlpool bath simply turn into a 61in LCD TV screen in a four-seater through human error?

Any site that wants to start checking should also watch out for headlines like Engadget’s “Catalina Spas integrates 61-inch LCD TV into jacuzzi”. Jacuzzi is a registered trademark, and not one that’s owned by Catalina Spas.

September 21, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · 2 Comments

I have been a little bit busy the past couple of days with university just around the corner but I have managed to get a bit of work done behind the scene.

What am I talking about?

Well as most blogs are now changing themes and so on, I think its about time we got a make over as well!

Upcoming Theme Changes:

New Banner (header)
New Footer
I.E (6/7) Compliant

Upcoming Site Changes:

Letting People Submit News (More on this later)
Being Much More technology Orientated
A server upgrade (we seem to be outgrowing the one we are on everyday)

As well as all the changes, I will be presenting a few advertisement positions for everyone at dirt cheap prices but more on that later. As for now, is there anything else which you would like to see be part of the upcoming brush up? All changes will take place probably around mid October by which (hopefully) we will have a nice Google Page Rank (3+)

In the mean while subscribe to our RSS FEED for full updates and dont forget about our current CONTEST!

Update:

For those of you who are thinking about the advertisement stats available I have a few statistics for you:

Alexa Rank is now: 134,126
Page Rank: 0 (Predicted 3/4 in next update)
There are now over 500 comments on the blog
And I dont know if you can measure success by the amount of spam comments you get but its just rocketed over 1000 today at a pace of around 50 spam comments daily!

Sony Looses Exclusive Rights

September 21, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · Leave a Comment

Did we all not think Sony is a huge ass company with lots of money to develop games and win exclusive rights left right and center? Sony has had the opportunity to keep many games that have slipped as exclusives. Whether it was communicating with developers or supplying development kits, major titles slipped into multiplatform grounds.

Below is a list of some games that Sony could have kept as exclusives for their shit Playstation 3 Console:

- Assassin’s Creed (According to Newsweek, Sony played the waiting game and lost because Microsoft jumped in and offered generous terms for Assassins Creed to be multiplatform)
- Bladestorm: Hundred Years War
- Devil May Cry 4 (Capcom states they want to share the love on all systems… but games like Dead Rising clearly show they are willing to do exclusives)
- Dynasty Warriors 6
- Fatal Inertia
- Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (Publisher EA made the choice to move the game to multiplatform)
- The Wall (Little is known about the title but in a recent interview Play Ten revealed that The Wall will now be coming to the Xbox 360)
- Unreal Tournament 3 (Once only announced as a PS3 and PC title, Epic switched and now has Xbox 360 as a listed platform for 08)
- Virtua Tennis 3
- Virtua Fighter 5

But wait it doesnt stop there. Sony has also managed to loose out on a few games that could have been co-released with their Average great console.

“The following list are major titles that could have been co-releases if Sony would have pushed out their development kits sooner and perhaps ponied up some money. However since they didn’t, these are all titles Microsoft has gladly taken in as timed exclusives on the Xbox 360.”

- Bioshock (We’ve been hearing that Bioshock may be hitting the PS3 this next spring)
- Medal of Honor Airborne (Out now on Xbox 360 but pushed back till November for PS3)
- The Elder Scrolls Oblivion (PS3 version a year later)
- F.E.A.R. (Delayed on PS3)
- Stranglehold (Delayed on PS3)
- Two Worlds (Two Worlds The Temptation is due out sometime next year, Top Ware is currently working on a concept piece for SCEA to approve)
- GRAW 2
- Rainbow Six Vegas
- Monster Madness: The EX
- Dirt
- Fight Night Round 3

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

September 20, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · 1 Comment

We all know how the PS3 is performing below par compared to the superior Xbox 360 on gaming terms but when it comes to cooking the PS3 kicks
ASS!

All Jokes aside I must admit the PS3 has some very promising games coming up this year that may have the potential to run side by side with the upcoming (soon to be the best game of 2007) Halo 3.

If you love gaming then you should know all about Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, if you own a PS3 and don’t have a clue about this upcoming title I would love to speak with you because I want some of that shit you’ve been smoking!

mgs41.jpg

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a story-driven adventure game, with seasoned hero Solid Snake drafted for one final mission. Set across stages including the Middle East and South America, the now aged Snake has been asked to assassinate his old adversary, Liquid Ocelot. To do this, however, he must make his way through a series of battlefields, using his legendary stealth abilities and all-new OctoCamo suit to avoid detection and to reach his target. With series favorites such as Meryl Silverburgh, Raiden, Hal ‘Otacon’ Emmerich, Eva and Roy Campbell returning, and with all new gameplay features including a remote-controlled Metal Gear Mk. II and enhanced CQC (Close Quarters Combat) system, Metal Gear Solid 4 rounds out the Metal Gear saga with a fittingly cinematic and gripping final outing.

Infact watch this awesome trailer which explains why this game is simply “awesome” and hilarious :D

This game has it all, action, more action, humour, blood, weapons, high advanced technology warfare (the huge mech’s/robots)- This game can be enjoyed by anyone around the world that can read english or the other languages its being released in…thats right even the cows over at John Cow can enjoy the dramatics of what is surely the best first person shooter after Halo 3.

mgs4-large.jpg

Is this the game thats meant to increase sales of the Playstation 3 as Halo 3 is meant to boost sales of the Xbox 360 unit? Is this the game that will put the PS3 console on the map? Perhaps this is why MGS4 is exclusive to the PS3…….for now.
