The internet is a rather strange place. You see things that are magnificent, things that make you emotional and things that are bizarre. For some reason a little bit of “Googling” a day brings me to the strangest products in the technology world, therefore I am starting a little “Most Bizarre!” section/category where I will post about the weirdest bits of technology upto date!

Today I stumbled across the worlds most expensive iPod Nano case, a case made out of 100% Titanium, a case that costs a wooping $800- Thats £400 British Pounds!

This iPod case by Factron certainly looks distinctive and I guess that’s a good thing because for £410 I, for one, would be expecting something pretty spectacular. Especially given the fact that it’s around four times the price of most iPods.

It is, of course, made of solid titanium, which means that it’ll offer a fair bit of protection to your player. Mind you, if the worst did happen, you’d probably find it cheaper to buy a new Nano rather than buying one of these, but then you wouldn’t get to have a cute little alien-like case, would you?

Hot on the heels of Sony’s recent $100 60GB PS3 price drop, gamers and industry analysts the world over are predicting that Microsoft will soon announce a cheaper Xbox 360.

Micheal Pachter, a Wedbush Morgan analyst who has gone on the record to predict a price drop, claimed that Microsoft will reduce the Xbox 360’s prices across the range. He said this will see the Core and Premium models’ prices both drop by $50 to $249 and $349, respectively, and the black Elite by $80 to $399. Thats £25 off in the United Kingdom for the Xbox 360’s and £40 for the Elite version of the 360. Not bad hey?

And even though you can’t make out any text, you you can see that it lists the Xbox 360 premium at a $349 price point. That’s the rumored $50 price reduction. This could of course be an evil trick by Joe Photoshopper, but it is very close to what rumors we’ve heard. We’ve personally received tips from supposed advertising insiders stating that price cuts would be coming soon and vary from system to system. We’ve heard that the Core will be dropping to $279, Premium to $349 and the Elite to $459 US.

But in Japan its a different story..

There are no plans to drop its prices in Japan, stating that the console’s Japanese price is “very competitive”. This despite the console’s poor showing in the H1 2007 sales tally there.

Seems everything is going well so far with the blog so just wanted to update you on a few things that have been happening behind the scenes for the past few days since I managed to gather all the old posts that where lost

First things first - From the few (hundred) emails that I have got, I want to make it absolutely CLEAR that this site is made and designed for FIREFOX and FIREFOX only. By all means Use Internet Explorer or whatever other browser you like, but If you want optimum viewing of posts/articles of SweetHacks, you will need to get Firefox.

Obviously I appreciate feedback email but this site now averages 800 uniques daily, and when I get 10-20 a day telling me about the sidebar going down or up or whatever; is annoying because its fixable very easily by downloading firefox or similar browsers such as netscape

This leaked photo shows what happened to Bill Gates’ beloved Xbox 360 the first time he plugged it into his TV at home. Gates remains confident that the combined forces of the local Fire Department and his industrial sprinkler system will tackle the fire which has been raging for 300 Days 25mins and 27 seconds. If it isn’t put out soon I’m sure they’ll release a patch or something.
