The guys at I-Hacked have done it again…”a how-to” on giving your windows mobile phone some iPhone skinned powers.

Are you thinking about buying that new shiny iPhone? Do you like that pretty new interface, and cool touchscreen interface? Well guess what you don’t have to wait in line to get those features, lets mod YOUR phone to emulate it!
For these instructions you will need a touchscreen phone running Windows Mobile 5 or 6. We will be using an HTC Mogul 6800 for our mod. Let it be known that you can also mod a Palm based device to look like an iPhone but in this article we will only be focusing on the WM based phones.

bah…PSP Firmware 3.51 Released..

June 30, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · Leave a Comment

I happen to think PSP homebrew is one of the brighter spots on the PSP. I also think that console companies would do well to embrace, rather than battle hackers. But what I believe is irrelevant, what you really want to know about is that it didn’t take Sony long to combat the latest downgrader. Here’s their response to the PSP 3.50 firmware downgrader. (Rest assure this update fully patches the recent Illuminati vulnerability discovered by team Noobz)

The Cat & Mouse Chase continues….

Sony’s PSP 3.51 Firmware Update - This version strengthens security. As a result, you will no longer be able to downgrade using the Illuminati exploit.

I would link to this firmware….but I hate sony so why should I. You can find their stupid 3.51 update on the network thingie (I think its called “Network Update”)

No more faulty xbox 360’s …Please!

June 29, 2007 by Abdalla Ahmed · Leave a Comment

UK-based repairs specialist Micromart has told GamesIndustry.biz that it has had to refuse to service Xbox 360 consoles that display three red lights, dubbed the Red Ring of Death.

“We were seeing about 30 a week before we pulled the plug on the service,” said Jeff Croft of Micromart.
“We saw it over a period of several months and it was just getting worse. It began towards the end of last year. Once the twelve month warranty finished then we started to see more and more machines being sent in to be looked at.”

Micromart acts for individual retailers who send customer’s goods to the specialist. Croft says his company pulled the service after discovering problems with the motherboard, and that that repairing the console wasn’t financially feasible. Even after working on a number of machines, the company didn’t feel comfortable with the end result.

Croft said the company had written to Microsoft to inform it of the problems encountered but had received no reply.
